RF Microneedling by Lux Aeterna. One Mechanism, Two Applications.
Fine needles go in first, cutting controlled micro-channels. Radiofrequency energy follows right behind, reaching tissue creams and surface treatments simply can’t get to. That pairing is what drives new collagen and elastin, not a temporary surface plump that fades in a few weeks.
Where this gets applied depends entirely on the concern:
- Face. Finer settings, shallower depth, aimed at fine lines, texture and early skin laxity.
- Body. Deeper settings built for thicker skin, used on areas like the abdomen, arms, thighs and back, for concerns like postpartum laxity, stretch marks and cellulite.
Both use the same underlying technology, so the decision isn’t really about which is “better”, it’s about which area and concern you’re actually treating.
Benefits of RF Microneedling by Lux Aeterna
Collagen takes time to rebuild, which is why results develop gradually, typically over three to six sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, with improvement continuing for a couple of months after the last session as new collagen finishes forming. Downtime stays minimal relative to how deep the treatment actually works, some redness or minor swelling for a few days is normal.
Surgery’s a different conversation though, and RF microneedling isn’t a stand-in for it once laxity’s progressed significantly. Same goes for cellulite, it can help, but it’s not a dedicated fix for that one concern on its own. A proper consultation settles this honestly, whether it’s the right starting point for you, or whether something else fits better.
Some clients pair body treatment with Profhilo Body treatment when hydration is part of the goal alongside structural improvement, the two work on different aspects and sequence well together. Men already booked in for body treatments sometimes raise beard laser hair removal in the same consultation, a separate service entirely, but one our team can help schedule around the same visit.
